How the chapters connect
Nodes are chapters, sized by how many calibration symbols they touch; an edge means the two share symbols, weighted so a rare shared symbol counts for more than a common one. Chapters 4 and 40 are excluded — the ECU matrix and the glossary are supersets and would otherwise link to everything.
Not Mermaid. Mermaid lays out flowchart as a tree; it has no force-directed layout. This graph is 60 nodes and 332 weighted edges, which as a Mermaid flowchart would collapse into a single unreadable rank. The positions below come from a Fruchterman-Reingold style force simulation run in the browser, then fitted to the frame, so the same visit always draws the same picture.
